Check out this great artist that will be selling at Handmade City Holiday (just 2 days away!) Malina Lee has shown art at Bucktown in Davenport and the ARTery in Rock Island and we are happy to have her as a part of our community! Her colorful paintings and prints will fit right in with the other 22 vendors and we are looking forward to seeing her booth in person!
It is no secret that we think today’s vendor spotlight is the bee’s knees. Tarisha’s (P&C designer) sweet bags have been hanging out over on our Featured Artist Page for a few weeks now. Yes the time will come when we update that page (after HMC3) but P&C’s feature is one of our favorites so far and we don’t mind them loitering a bit longer. Adrienne Anderson is an artsy mother that crafts all things cute. Her shop Plaid Peony will be selling handmade creations for babies, young girls and ladies at the Handmade City show. Adrienne’s appliqued onesies, stitched burped clothes, and fabric accessories are absolutely adorable and to top it off she is such a lovely lady to be around with seriously one of the cutest kids ever. We have a feeling you are gonna want to squeeze her boy’s cheeks (pictured above) if he is hanging with her in the booth! Photography by Tassy will be at our Holiday 2011 show! Tassy Johnson takes gorgeous pictures and it was last winter when we first came across her work. She has been a featured artist on the site where we learned what inspires her shots and the creative process she goes through to capture the perfect moment. Tassy will be selling prints and posters of her photography on December 3rd, she also has a lovely website showcasing come of her client work that you must check out today. We are happy to have Tassy make her second Handmade City appearance!

Phono Orange & Olive is brand new and hot off the presses! The two-person tag team consists of artists Joseph Lappie and Anna Richards. They will be selling letterpressed posters, postcards and cards as well as artist’s books and handmade blank journals at our Handmade City Holiday show. JOseph & Anna are in the process of uploading a site but to get an idea of the kind of artwork they will have available please visit Joseph’s site. Very cool images and letterpress stuff there, we are excited to see what they will bring for their booth!
We are having a hard time typing anything but “Cute, cute, cute… so cute!” for today’s vendor spotlight. Pajama Love is run by Jody & Jason Stoffer from Iowa City. Their handmade plush toys and little crocheted food are just a few of the CUTE things they will be selling at Handmade City on December 3rd. You can also expect to see glass block night lights, greeting cards and crocheted necklaces! Jody just got done organizing and selling at the Sycamore Market in Iowa City this past Saturday so she has been busy crafting all month long. We are looking forward to meeting them in person and shopping their cute cute cute… so cute booth!
Lil Squeeks is such an awesome vendor and we are happy to have them in our Holiday 2011 event! Shop handmade dog chew toys, cat collars, cat nip, doggy beds, coin purses, mini pillows, check book covers and MORE! Mary Immesoete is the clever creator behind Lili Squeeks. Her graphic design skills and love for clean lines & bold color make her booth a HMC3 must-stop, you will love it!
Handmade City organizer Rose Noble – aka Ladynoble, will be selling original artwork along with, handmade nature inspired jewelry & beads, art prints, and fun decor items. Colorful art meets clean design, hand drawn portraits and silly stories you are sure to love!
Klarkowski Pottery is today’s fabulous vendor spotlight! Working out of her Davenport (Bucktown) studio, Brittany Klarkowski creates quality, timeless design. We just love the combination of functionality and sophistication that Brittany manages to craft in each piece. This will be Klarkowski Pottery’s first Handmade City event and we are looking forward to having them as a part of our creative collective. Helena Sophia is our splendid vendor spotlight today! Hooray for hand-dyed yarn, colorful cosmetic bags and fun kid accessories! Sarah Cupp is the lovely designer behind all things cute at HS. Handmade City first met Sarah through our April ’11 event and we’re glad we did. It is always nice to find people who’s work is made with love!
